To strengthen the law and safety education and improve the legal awareness and safety consciousness of our students, ASJ (Dongguan) was honoured to have Mr. Ping-hai Xiao, a police officer of Gaobu Town, to give a lesson on the rule of law to all Secondary students in the afternoon of 9 April 2024.

为广泛深入开展法治教育和安全教育，提高学生的法律意识和安全意识，推进依法治校，2024年4月9日下午，我校法治副校长肖平海在体育馆给中学部学生进行法治小课堂的授课。我校的中学部七年级至十一年级全体学生参加了本次活动。

The lesson focused on five aspects of campus safety education, anti-bullying on campus, drug prevention, anti-fraud and drowning prevention. Mr Xiao gave a lively lesson on the rule of law and an in-depth analysis of the causes and consequences of juvenile delinquency through informative cases to impress upon the young students the importance of abiding by the law, which greatly benefited the students and teachers.

本次授课主要围绕校园安全教育、校园欺凌、远离毒品、防电信诈骗、防溺水等五大方面进行讲授。肖平海警官很好地结合了当代青少年的特点，以翔实的案例、朴实的语言给师生们上了一堂生动的法治教育课，并深刻剖析了青少年走上违法犯罪道路的根源和社会危害。小课堂得到了广大师生的好评，学生们纷纷表示受益匪浅，老师们也表示要以此为契机，认真搞好学生的法治教育，在各班营造“学法、知法、守法”的良好氛围。

After the lesson, the students had an opportunity to learn about drug prevention at first-hand. The Narcotics Control Office staff introduced the students to the shape and characteristics of various drugs through the drug moulds, which broadened the horizons of our students, a lucky draw also added more fun atmosphere while students learned more knowledge. In addition, Mr. Xiao also arranged for police instructors to conduct a special anti-terrorism drill and security training for the school's security team, further improving the security management at ASJ (Dongguan).

授课完毕后，学生们纷纷前往远离毒品宣传的小摊位。禁毒办的工作人员通过所带的毒品模具向同学们介绍了多种毒品的形状特征，令在场学生都增广见闻。宣讲过程中，工作人员还增加了抽奖环节，让学生们在有趣的氛围中学到更多的知识。此外，法治副校长肖平海警官还特意安排了特警教官为我校安保人员进行反恐演习和处置训练。

This activity not only enhances students' law-abiding awareness, but also makes the school pay more attention to the impacts of legal education on young people. ASJ (Dongguan) will spare no effort to cultivate young students' awareness of the nation, rights and duties, and law-abiding attitudes through a scientific and comprehensive educational approach, and create a harmonious and positive environment for our community.

通过这次法治小课堂活动，不仅学生懂得了遵纪守法的道理，校方也更加重视法治教育对青少年的影响，东莞ASJ将不遗余力地通过科学全面的法治教育增强青少年的国家意识、权利义务意识和守法用法的意识，为青少年的健康成长创造一个和谐、向上的法治环境。
