Exploring Hakka Culture in Heyuan

初中部：传承客家文化，寻源万绿河源

The students from junior forms had a fruitful and amazing 2-day field trip at HeYuan. Under the bright sunny weather, students were highly motivated and participated a lot in various activities. 

初中部的学生们在河源度过两天充实有趣的研学之旅。在艳阳高照的天气里，学生们斗志昂扬，踊跃地参加了各种活动。

On the first day, the field trip started with a visit at the soya sauce factory in which students could experience the production line of making soya sauce and the explanations on the culture of Hakka. During the visit, students understood the customs, the living conditions and habits and the traditional food of Hakka. 

初中部研学的第一天从参观酱油厂开始，学生们在酱油厂体验了酱油的生产流程，并听取了有关客家文化的讲解。在参观过程中，学生们了解了客家人的风俗习惯、生活环境以及传统美食。

At lunch hour, students were taken to a campsite where they were given fresh ingredients to make their own dishes. After enjoying the delicious and hand-made food, students spent the whole afternoon having excitements and fun at a theme park with classmates. 

在午餐时间，学生们被带到一个营地，在那里他们获取了新鲜的食材，并自己动手制作菜肴。品尝完亲手制作的美味佳肴后，学生们一起在主题公园里度过了一个刺激和欢乐的下午。

The second day started with lots of experiential learning chances at an agricultural land. They could have a taste of how the livelihood of being farmers and fishermen is. They tried to plant crops and peanuts and catch fish in the fish pond. Moreover, they could experience how to make popcorns. The field trip ended with paying a visit to a dinosaur museum in which they knew the history and the background information of different kinds of dinosaurs and the formation of fossils of dinosaurs. 

第二天的活动首先是在农田里体验农事劳动，从中他们可以体验农民和渔民的生活，学生们尝试自己种植农作物和花生，并在鱼塘里捕鱼，他们从实际劳动中了解农业发展的历史及农耕知识。此外，他们还体验了如何制作爆米花。最后，他们参观了恐龙博物馆，了解了各种恐龙的历史和背景资料，以及恐龙化石的形成过程。

On the first day, the senior students visited the Tea and Chocolate Town, a special tourism area for the Yinghong tea industry, where they learned about the history and culture of Yinghong tea. 

高中部的学生们第一天参观了茶与巧克力小镇，这是一个英红茶产业特色旅游庄园，同学们在这里了解了英红茶的历史和文化。

The students were also given the task of finding the "Mystery Man", and they were excited to carry out a logical investigation and eventually solve the mystery. After a short lunch break, the students had a great time with their classmates on the various rides in the park. As night fell, the students were well rested and looked after by their teachers and guides at a villa hotel.

带着初来乍到的激动，学生们接到了一个寻找“神秘人”的游戏任务，同学们兴致勃勃地展开了一番逻辑缜密的探索，最终顺利解开了谜题。在短暂的午休后，同学们在游乐场中肆意挥洒着自己的青春，度过了愉快时光。夜幕降临，同学们入住别墅区，在老师们和导游们的照顾和陪伴下安然入睡。

On the second day, the students went to the Yingjiu Black Tea Estate, where they gained a deeper understanding of tea planting and processing techniques, and personally experienced the whole process of tea plucking, stirring and making tea, which they enjoyed throughout the session. 

第二天，同学们前往英九红茶庄园，深入了解了茶叶的种植与加工技艺，并亲自感受了采茶、炒茶和制茶的整个流程，大家在整个环节中的乐此不疲。

The last stop of the field trip was the Baojing Palace Cave, where the students were shocked by the magnificent and unique stalactite landscape inside the cave. Witnessing the natural wonders not only enriched the students' extracurricular knowledge, but also stimulated their passion for nature.

研学的最后一站是宝晶宫溶洞，同学们被溶洞内瑰丽奇特的钟乳石景观所震撼。亲眼目睹自然奇观不仅丰富了学生们的课外知识，更激发了他们对大自然的热爱与探索欲望。

This short two-day field trip was a valuable experience for both junior and senior high school students, during which they not only learnt about agriculture and saw how the production industry operates, but also got to know the local culture and appreciate the amazing natural landscape, and more importantly, they also got to relax and create good memories with their friends while studying.

短短的两天研学对于初中生和高中生而言都是宝贵的经历，这期间，他们不仅学到了农业知识，见识了生产行业的运作，还了解了当地的文化，欣赏了令人赞叹的自然景观。更重要的是，他们也在学习之余得到了放松，并和自己的朋友们创造了美好的回忆。
