EUREKA|尤里卡

The term "Eureka," famously attributed to the ancient Greek scholar Archimedes, signified a moment of profound discovery and enlightenment. This powerful exclamation encapsulated the spirit of scientific exploration and the thrill of uncovering the mysteries of our world. It is this very spirit that our students embraced and showcased in their projects.

🎼 “Today is gonna be the day

that they're gonna throw it back to you”

- was viewed as a call to action for today’s scientists and for students to tackle the challenges thrown their way.

🎶 "By now you should've somehow realised

what you gotta do"

- for us, underscored the realisation and responsibility of using science to solve global issues.

🎼 "I don't believe that anybody

feels the way I do about you now"

- highlighted the personal connection and passion that students as researchers and scientists felt towards their subject matter.

🎶 "Because maybe, you're gonna be the one

that saves me”

- directly spoke to how scientific breakthroughs can save and protect human lives and the planet.

So, when students performed ‘Wonderwall’ it took on a whole new meaning.

Furthermore the lyrics of "Thunder" spoke to themes of ambition, perseverance and breaking boundaries as thunder is a natural phenomenon that is both awe-inspiring and scientifically fascinating.

Using "Thunder" as the theme song symbolised the power and wonder of science, reflecting the exhibition's goal to ignite curiosity and a sense of wonder about the natural world. This resonated with the spirit of scientific inquiry, encouraging students as young scientists and visitors to think big, pursue dreams, and overcome challenges!

Our young scholars delved into various scientific phenomena, demonstrating their ability to think critically, question deeply, and present their findings with clarity and confidence.

They engaged in collaborative research, honed their problem-solving skills, and cultivated a deep appreciation for the scientific method.

Understanding the scientific method was key. It emphasised the importance of evidence and experimentation. At the exhibition, this process was on full display. Students started by asking a question based on observation, then conducted background research and formed a hypothesis.
