Foundation & K1

In Foundation and Kindergarten One, the students participated in an exciting Ice Cube Painting activity that combined art and science. They explored melting ice and observed how the vibrant colours spread across the paper, creating unique patterns.

K2

In Kindergarten 2, students enjoyed reading the book “At the Zoo,” which taught them all about animals. Through discussions and extension activities, the children learned about the different animals and their unique traits, enhancing their understanding of wildlife and teamwork in a fun and engaging way. 

K2学生们喜欢阅读《动物园》这本书,书中介绍了动物和科学知识。通过探讨活动,孩子们了解了故事中的不同动物及其独特的特征,以一种有趣又独一无二的方式加深他们对野生动物和团队合作意识的理解。

K3

This week, our Kindergarten 3 students explored universal measurements of time, specifically, days of the week and months of the year. To celebrate our learning of autumn and the month of November, the students embarked on a nature walk to observe, and collect leaves, acorns and other autumn treasures leading to the creation of beautiful autumn wreaths. 

本周,我们K3的学生探索了时间的测量,具体来说,是一周的天数和一年的月份。为了庆祝我们对秋天和11月的学习,学生们进行了一次自然散步,观察并收集树叶、橡果和其他秋天的宝藏,以制作美丽的秋日花环。

Music

This week, during Early Years music time, the Foundation and Kindergarten 1 students were introduced to scarf dancing. The children held scarves in their hands while moving up and down, side to side, and turning around. Swaying scarves along with music helped encourage self-regulation skills. 

In Kindergarten 2, students learned to use ribbons, holding them in their hands while moving and dancing. We covered section one, which they call "loop" and "loop left and right," swirling up and down. This activity is connected to Unit 2, “How We Express Ourselves.” It fostered teamwork, coordination, and rhythm, cultivates a love of music, increases feelings of achievement, improves confidence, and boosts self-esteem.
