Foundation & K1

This week the Foundation and K1 students demonstrated being knowledgeable by collecting and counting natural materials like stones, twigs, and leaves during outdoor explorations to create mandalas, enhancing their understanding of numbers and quantities through hands-on experiences. 

本周Foundation和K1的学生通过在户外探索收集和数石头、小树枝和树叶等自然材料，展示了他们的知识，通过动手体验，增强了他们对数字和数量的理解。他们参与了在教室和户外区域制作曼陀罗的活动。

K2

The Kindergarten 2, students had a highly engaging week as they participated in interactive storytelling sessions in the classroom. They discovered how movement and expression could effectively engage an audience and communicate meaning beyond words. 

K2学生们度过了一个非常有趣的一周，他们在课堂上参与了讲故事的互动活动。他们发现通过肢体动作和语言表达能有效地吸引听众，从而感受相互交流传达的重要性。

K3

In Kindergarten 3, the students became more knowledgeable about patterns all around them. They experimented with various ways of making patterns, including 'copy the clap' game, finger-painting colour patterns, patterns in numbers, patterns in rhyming words and loose parts patterns. Through experimentation the children nurtured their curiosity and learned that patterns are not only about shapes but can be found everywhere in their daily lives. 

本周K3的学生对周围的图案有了更多的了解。他们尝试了各种不同的制作图案的方法，包括模仿拍手游戏、用手指绘画颜色图案、数字图案、押韵词中的图案和松散素材图案。通过实验，孩子们培养了好奇心，并了解到图案不仅与形状有关，而且可以在我们的日常生活中随处可见。

Music

In the Early Years music classes, students continued their exploration of traditional Chinese instruments. 

In Foundation and Kindergarten 1, the students were introduced to the rattle drum, which symbolises good fortune and joy. The children engaged with rattles to develop their fine motor skills and enhance their grasping techniques. 

In Kindergarten 2, the children continued to play the big drum, this time accompanied by large cymbals. Everyone was excited to play and prepare for the Chinese New Year.

在本周的幼儿音乐课上，我们继续探索中国传统乐器。

在Foundation和Kindergarten 1，学生们开始接触象征着好运和喜悦的摇鼓。孩子们通过玩摇铃来发展他们的精细运动技能和提高抓握技巧。

在Kindergarten 2，孩子们继续击打大鼓，这次伴随着大铙钹。每个人都兴高采烈地准备中国新年。
