The Arts Festival 2025 was a vibrant celebration of artistic expression, where students explored the many ways art connects to the real world. We discussed applying art to the real world which highlighted the diverse professions in the arts and encouraged children to embrace their creativity with voice, choice, ownership, and agency.  

2025年艺术节是一场充满活力的艺术表达盛会，为学生提供了一个探索艺术与现实世界之间多重联系的平台。我们深入探讨了艺术在实际应用中的潜力，展示了艺术领域的多样化职业，并鼓励孩子们通过自主选择、声音表达和能动性来拥抱创造力。

Art isn’t just about painting or drawing—it’s everywhere! From graphic design and photography to fashion, architecture, and even cake decorating, the festival showcased how art shapes our world. Students learned about various creative careers, including:  

艺术并非仅限于绘画或素描——它广泛存在于我们的生活中！从平面设计、摄影到时尚、建筑，甚至蛋糕装饰，艺术节生动地展现了艺术如何塑造我们的世界。学生们深入了解了多种创意职业，包括但不限于以下领域：

Key Principles of the Day

当日的关键原则  

The festival was guided by three core principles: 

本次艺术节围绕三个核心原则展开：

1. Voice & Choice – Children directed their own learning by choosing activities that sparked their curiosity.  

2. Ownership – They created meaningful art to take home, like tie-dye shirts and clay flowers.  

3. Agency – They had the freedom to move, collaborate, or work independently.

2. 归属感 —— 他们创作了具有深刻意义的艺术作品，例如扎染衬衫和黏土花卉，这些作品可以带回家作为纪念。

At the heart of Arts Festival 2025 was the belief that choice fuels creativity. By allowing children to freely explore different art forms—from painting to digital design—we empowered them to follow their curiosity and express themselves authentically. Art is more than just a skill; it’s a language of emotion, problem-solving, and innovation. Whether they became animators, architects, or simply carried forward a love for creativity, this festival showed how art shapes not just careers but also confidence, critical thinking, and joy. When students have the freedom to choose, they don’t just make art—they discover their own voice.  

2025年艺术节的核心理念在于，选择能够有效激发创造力。通过赋予孩子们自由探索从传统绘画到现代数字设计等各类艺术形式的机会，我们帮助他们追随自己的好奇心并实现自我表达。艺术不仅是一种技能，更是一种情感语言、问题解决工具和创新媒介。无论学生未来是否成为动画师、建筑师，抑或是将对创造力的热爱融入日常生活，这场艺术节都充分展示了艺术如何塑造个人的职业发展、自信心、批判性思维以及幸福感。当学生拥有选择的自由时，他们不仅仅是在创作艺术，更是在发现和定义自己的独特声音。

The festival was filled with exploration, collaboration, and pure artistic joy. As Henri Matisse once said, “Creativity takes courage.”—and our students proved just how brave and imaginative they can be!  

这场艺术节充满了探索精神、团队合作以及纯粹的艺术乐趣。正如艺术家亨利·马蒂斯所言：“创造力需要勇气。” 我们的学生以实际行动证明了他们的勇敢与想象力！
