On 22 January 2024, the Secondary Department of ASJ (Dongguan) hosted a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration, where teachers and students gathered to embrace the festive spirit of the Year of the Snake.

2024年1月22日，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校中学部举办了一场热闹非凡的迎新春活动，全校师生齐聚一堂，在欢声笑语中提前感受蛇年春节的喜庆氛围。

The event began with an exciting performance that immediately energised the crowd. Students showcased their talents through lively dances and melodious songs, earning enthusiastic applause. The highlight came when the principals and teachers joined, performing the classic New Year song "The God of Wealth Has Arrived." Their vibrant performance filled the campus with joyful melodies and heartfelt wishes for the New Year.

活动伊始，精彩的开场表演瞬间点燃了现场的热情。同学们各展才艺，舞蹈灵动活泼，歌声婉转动听，赢得台下阵阵掌声。令人惊喜的是，校长与老师们也登上舞台，共同合唱经典贺岁歌曲《财神到》。他们活力四射的表演，将现场气氛推向了高潮，熟悉的旋律回荡在校园，传递着新春的美好祝福。

As the principal and teacher representatives drew the lucky numbers and winners were announced, the venue echoed with cheers and clapping. Excited winners collected their prizes with big smiles on their faces.

活动的抽奖环节更是让现场充满了期待与惊喜。校长和教师代表们共同抽取幸运号码，当一个个中奖名单公布，学生们欢呼声和掌声此起彼伏。幸运儿们兴高采烈地领取奖品，脸上洋溢着喜悦的笑容。

Students eagerly participated in creating traditional New Year couplets and paper-cutting. In the couplets area, students and teachers used brushes and ink to write auspicious New Year wishes on red paper. In the paper-cutting area, students transformed coloured paper into intricate designs, featuring traditional patterns and lively zodiac figures, showcasing their creativity and love for traditional culture.

紧接着，便是写挥春和剪纸环节。各班同学积极参与，在写挥春区域，大家拿起毛笔，饱蘸墨汁，在红纸上写下对新年的期许。“春回大地千般秀，福满人间万事兴”等一幅幅寓意吉祥的春联，带着浓浓的墨香诞生，寄托着师生们对新年的美好祝愿。在剪纸区域，同学们发挥创意，彩纸在他们手中翻转、裁剪，不一会儿，精美的剪纸作品便呈现在眼前，有象征吉祥的如意花纹，还有灵动的生肖图案，每一件都饱含着对传统文化的热爱。
