"2025 GDHK Inter-School Youth Basketball Tournament" took place successfully in Dongguan on 22nd and 23rd February 2025. 

Organised by ASJ (Dongguan) and co-organised by two other ASJ schools in Guangzhou and Foshan, the event received significant support from Supernova Basketball Club, UA NEXT and the Dongguan-Taiwan Economic and Cultural Exchange Centre. The event attracted top young basketball players from eight schools in Guangdong and Hong Kong.

2025年2月22日至23日，“2025粤港学界青少年篮球邀请赛”在东莞南城D1梦想篮球馆成功举办。赛事由东莞暨大港澳子弟学校主办，广州暨大港澳子弟学校、佛山暨大港澳子弟学校协办，超新星篮球俱乐部承办，同时赛事还受到UA NEXT的赞助和东莞市莞台经济文化交流中心的大力支持，吸引了粤港两地八所学校的顶尖青少年篮球选手参赛。比赛旨在通过体育竞技促进文化交流与校际合作，为两地青少年搭建展示球技和增进友谊的平台。

Dongguan, known as China's "Basketball City," is famous for its unique basketball culture. The tournament was held here to capitalise on its rich basketball heritage and provide an excellent platform for young players from Guangdong and Hong Kong. During the event, students from the three ASJ schools and their rivals from Maryknoll Secondary School, Baptist Wing Lung Secondary School, Fanling Kau Yan College, Concordia Lutheran School – North Point, and Evangel College competed with great passion. Basketball acted as a medium of communication, igniting competitive spirit and fostering understanding among the players.

东莞作为“中国篮球城市”，篮球文化源远流长，赛事选址于此，借助其深厚的篮球底蕴，为粤港青少年提供了优质的展示舞台。比赛期间，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校、广州暨大港澳子弟学校、佛山暨大港澳子弟学校，携手香港玛利诺中学、香港浸信会永隆中学、香港粉岭救恩书院、香港北角协同中学以及香港播道书院的同学们，在赛场上挥洒汗水、切磋技艺。篮球成为建立联系的媒介，点燃了竞技对抗的激情，也促进了青少年之间的沟通与理解。

The tournament began at 9:30 a.m. on 22nd February with an enthusiastic opening ceremony. Numerous distinguished guests attended, including Ms. Stella Lau Kun Lai-kuen, former chairlady of the Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong and principal of Diocesan Girls' School, Ms. NING Xiaona, director of the Dongguan-Taiwan Economic and Cultural Exchange Centre, and Mr. ZHANG Dapeng, director of the Basic Education Office of Jinan University. Their presence added a strong element of professionalism and educational support to the event.

2月22日上午9时30分，赛事在热烈开幕仪式中正式拉开帷幕。中国香港学界体育联会前董事会主席、拔萃女书院校长刘靳丽娟女士、东莞市莞台经济文化交流中心主任宁小娜女士、暨南大学基础教育办公室主任张大朋先生等众多嘉宾出席，为赛事增添了专业色彩和教育领域的支持。

The two-day tournament featured intense competition, resulting in several thrilling games. Concordia Lutheran School – North Point emerged as the champion, ASJ (Guangzhou) secured second place, ASJ (Dongguan) came third and Evangel College took fourth. In the individual awards, LAM Ka Po from Fanling Kau Yan College won the 3-point shooting contest, while Samuel TAM from Concordia claimed the 1v1 championship and the 5v5 MVP.

比赛于2月22日至23日进行，为期两天的赛程中，各参赛队伍展开激烈角逐，奉献了多场精彩对决。最终，香港北角协同中学获得冠军，广州暨大港澳子弟学校获得第二名，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校获得第三名，香港播道书院获得第四名。个人奖项方面，粉岭救恩书院的林嘉宝获得三分球大赛冠军，北角协同中学的谭榆澎获得1V1比赛冠军及5V5 MVP。

The closing ceremony was held at 4:00 p.m. on 23rd February. Guests, including Mr. WANG Botao, deputy director of the Dongguan Bureau of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs, presented awards to the winning teams and individuals, bringing the event to a successful conclusion. The tournament showcased the athletic prowess of young players from Guangdong and Hong Kong, promoting cultural exchange and integration between the two regions.

2月23日下午4时，闭幕及颁奖仪式举行。东莞市台港澳事务局副局长王柏桃等嘉宾为获奖队伍和个人颁奖，为赛事画上了圆满的句号。赛事的成功举办，不仅展现了粤港两地青少年的体育竞技水平，更促进了两地的文化交流与融合。东莞的篮球氛围为比赛增色不少，进一步彰显了篮球运动的魅力。

This tournament was a grand event combining sports and cultural exchange. The young players demonstrated tenacity and excellent teamwork. The event's success has deepened cooperation in sports education between Guangdong and Hong Kong, laying a solid foundation for cultivating future talents with an international vision and holistic development.
