On 19 September 2025, ASJ (Dongguan) successfully held its first university preparation seminar, designed specifically for senior secondary students and their parents. The event focused on introducing different academic disciplines and outlining various pathways for higher education.

东莞暨大港澳子弟学校于2025年9月19日成功举办了首场大学升学指导讲座，面向高中生及家长，聚焦大学专业选择与升学路径规划。本次活动吸引了250名家长踊跃参与，反映出家庭对子女未来教育方向的高度关注。

The session began with an address by Executive Principal Mr. Samuel KAM, who elaborated on the school’s unique university referral initiatives, including the School Nomination Direct Admission Scheme (SNDAS), the School Principal’s Nomination (SPN), as well as Mainland University Admission Schemes for HKDSE students. He emphasised the importance of early and holistic preparation—both academically and beyond—to maximise these opportunities.

活动伊始，执行校长金礼贤先生详细介绍了学校特有的多项升学推荐计划，包括“学校推荐直接录取计划（SNDAS）”、“校长推荐计划（JUPAS-SPN）”以及“内地高校招收香港中学文凭考试学生计划-校长推荐计划”等。他强调这些计划旨在为学生提供更多元、更直接的升学机会，并敦促同学们尽早准备，在学术和非学术方面全面提升自己，以符合各类推荐计划的遴选标准。

Following his remarks, Ms. KC LEUNG, Director of the Life Planning Centre, delivered an insightful presentation titled "A Panoramic View of University Majors: From Academic Awareness to Future Careers." She provided a structured overview of twelve major academic fields—such as Natural Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Law, Economics, and Humanities—and discussed how subject selection aligns with future career trajectories. Ms. LEUNG encouraged students to reflect on their interests, strengths, and aspirations through self-assessment, research, and practical experiences. She also introduced practical tools, including a "four-dimension subject selection framework" and the "Golden Triangle Model", to facilitate informed decision-making.

随后，升学部主任梁珊珊以“大学专业全景图：从学科认知到职业未来”为主题，系统性地介绍了大学专业的十二大类别，包括理学、工学、医学、法学、经济管理、文史哲学等，并阐述了学科与职业之间的关联。她指出，专业选择应综合考量个人兴趣、能力特长及未来发展前景，建议学生通过兴趣测评、资讯搜集、实践体验等方式，逐步明确自己的方向和目标。此外，她也分享了“选科四维度”和“黄金三角模型”等实用方法，帮助在座学生与家长更科学地进行决策。

More than just an information session, the seminar served as an important step in raising awareness among both parents and students about the significance of early academic and career planning. It underscored the school’s commitment to supporting each student’s personalised educational journey through structured guidance and timely intervention.

本次讲座不仅是信息的传递，更是一次认知的提升。学校通过系统、专业的讲解，帮助家长和学生更清晰地理解大学专业的分类与特点，意识到及早规划的重要性。同时也体现出学校在学生升学路上的用心安排与全程支持，致力于让每一位学生都能在适合自己的道路上稳步前行。

As the first university-focused seminar organised by the school, the event marked the beginning of a continued effort to strengthen home-school collaboration and inspire students to pursue futures aligned with their potential and passions.
