To celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, ASJ (Dongguan) recently hosted a handmade poster contest with the theme “A Prosperous Era, Building a Brighter Future.” The competition encouraged students to integrate art with subjects like history and social studies, deepening their understanding of the nation’s journey and achievements while nurturing both creative expression and patriotic pride.

为庆祝中华人民共和国成立76周年，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校于近日举办了以“盛世华诞，共铸辉煌”为主题的手抄报创作比赛。本次活动旨在通过艺术与历史、公社等学科融合的方式，加深同学们对国家历史与发展成就的理解，激发爱国情怀与创作热情。

The contest was met with an enthusiastic response from students, who eagerly brought the theme to life through imaginative designs. They brought the National Day theme to life through artistic talent and imaginative design, skillfully weaving together historical references, cultural symbols, and visual storytelling. Each poster conveyed a unique narrative — from the early challenges of nation-building to the profound progress of reform and opening-up, and from the enduring belief that “A Strong Youth Builds a Strong Nation” to the promising outlook of a new era — all reflecting the students’ sincere affection and best wishes for their homeland.

比赛启动以来，全校学生积极响应，踊跃参与。同学们围绕国庆主题，充分发挥艺术才华与创意构思，将历史知识、文化符号与视觉设计巧妙结合，呈现出一幅幅内容丰富、形式多样的手抄报作品。从建国之初的筚路蓝缕到改革开放的壮阔历程，从“少年强则国强”的励志名言到新时代的发展图景，每一件作品都凝聚着同学们对祖国的热爱与祝福。

After a careful selection process, the top pieces were displayed across the school, drawing the attention of teachers and students alike. Entries were evaluated on criteria such as thematic creativity, layout design, and overall impact, leading to the awarding of first, second, and third prizes. The winning works stood out not only for their visual appeal but also for their thoughtful content and emotional depth, showcasing the students’ genuine connection to the nation’s development.

经过初步筛选，优秀作品在校园内集中展出，吸引了众多师生驻足欣赏。学校组织教师团队依据“主题创意”“布局表现”和“主题表现”等维度进行公正评分，最终评选出一、二、三等奖若干名。获奖作品不仅在视觉上具有冲击力，更在内容深度与情感表达上展现出同学们对国家发展的深刻理解。

More than just a display of creativity, the contest served as a meaningful lesson in patriotism and cultural identity. Through hands-on participation, students strengthened their knowledge of national history and their commitment to cultural heritage.
