In this golden autumn, we celebrated the remarkable 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Over the past 76 years, the nation has journeyed through challenges and transformations, achieving outstanding progress in comprehensive strength and global influence.

金秋十月，我们迎来了中华人民共和国成立76周年的辉煌时刻。七十六载风雨兼程，祖国在发展与变革中不断书写壮丽篇章，综合实力持续增强，国际影响力日益提升。

To deepen students’ understanding of the motherland and enhance their sense of national identity and pride, ASJ (Dongguan) recently organised a special "National Day General Knowledge and Current Affairs Quiz Contest."

为加深同学们对祖国的了解，增强民族认同感与自豪感，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校特别举办了一场别开生面的“国庆常识及时事问答比赛”。

Using the Kahoot! online platform, the contest turned into an exciting battle of knowledge and quick thinking. Four houses from the secondary section—Pegasus, Centaurs, Dragon, and Phoenix—sent their representatives to compete. The atmosphere was dynamic, with participants demonstrating quick reflexes and in-depth knowledge of the nation’s development and the Greater Bay Area initiative.

比赛采用Kahoot在线问答平台，中学部四社——Pegasus、Centaurs、Dragon及Phoenix分别派出代表参与这场一场知识与反应速度的精彩较量。现场气氛热烈，同学们反应迅速、思维敏捷，展现出对祖国发展与湾区建设的深刻认识。

The contest covered a wide range of topics, including national history, cultural traditions, economic development, social progress, and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Conducted in an engaging and interactive format, the competition aimed to spark students’ interest in national affairs and current events.

本次活动围绕国家历史、文化传统、经济发展、社会建设及粤港澳大湾区规划等内容展开，以生动有趣的形式，激发同学们对国情与时事的关注。

Students in the audience also took an active part, cheering on their peers and showcasing strong team spirit and a willingness to embrace challenges. After several intense rounds, the Centaurs house emerged as champions with an impressive 22,462 points, followed by Pegasus and Phoenix as first and second runners-up.

台下观赛的同学也积极参与，为选手们加油助威，展现了团结协作、勇于挑战的精神。经过激烈比拼，Centaurs社以22462分荣获冠军，Pegasus社与Phoenix社分列亚军和季军。

More than just a knowledge competition, the event served as an inspiring lesson in patriotism. It strengthened students’ connection to the nation and their role as young members of the Greater Bay Area. At our school, we are committed to nurturing both patriotic values and a global perspective, integrating them into diverse learning experiences.

此次活动不仅是一场知识的竞赛，更是一堂生动的爱国教育课。同学们在比赛中加深了对国家历史与发展的理解，增强了对身为港澳子弟及湾区一员的责任感与归属感。我校始终重视培养学生的爱国情怀与国际视野，致力于通过多元活动，将爱国精神融入日常教育之中。
