Throughout the week, students have shown remarkable creativity and excitement as they designed and prepared display boards, activities, and interactive games for the upcoming Unit Exhibition. As they revisited key concepts and ideas from Unit 1, their enthusiasm and imaginative energy truly brought the classroom to life!

本周,学生们在为即将到来的单元展示设计和准备展示板、活动以及互动游戏时,展现出了非凡的创造力和热情。 当他们重温第一单元的重要概念和想法时,他们的热情与想象力让整个课堂焕发出了蓬勃生机!

Students had a creative and fun week as they made collages to show who they are, designed displays for their stories, and played engaging literacy and math games to strengthen their skills.

学生们度过了一个富有创意和乐趣的一周,他们制作拼贴画展示自我,设计了自己的故事展示板,并通过有趣的阅读和数学游戏来增强技能。

Although part of managing a healthy diet involves monitoring calorie intake, the students have also learned that eating food groups in the correct proportions provides a balance of the different nutrients our bodies need to grow. Consequently, the students have been creating visual representations of what a balanced diet can consist of, using the Eatwell Guide and foods of their choice. 

尽管管理健康饮食的一部分涉及监测卡路里摄入量,但三年级的学生们还了解到,以正确的比例食用食物可以平衡我们身体生长所需的不同营养素。因此,学生们一直在通过使用Eatwell指南和他们选择的食物来创建平衡饮食的组成内容。

Students have been applying what they have learned in literacy through story writing. Students utilised their creative writing skills as they wrote in-depth and grammatically accurate stories.

Students created colourful and meaningful cultural displays for the school exhibition. Their displays celebrated pride, showcased teamwork, and demonstrated a deep understanding of cultural diversity, making the exhibition both educational and visually inspiring.

学生们为学校的展览精心策划并制作了内容丰富的文化展品。这些展品不仅彰显了学生的自豪感与团队协作精神,更体现了他们对文化多样性的深刻认知,从而使整个展览兼具教育意义与视觉启迪性。

Students have shown impressive creativity this week as they worked on projects spanning both literacy and UOI in preparation for their upcoming exhibition. Their imaginative ideas and innovative approaches have brought their projects to life, making this a truly inspiring week in the classroom.

This week, K3 and G1 students explored music elements and sang songs, building confidence and joy. G2 and G3 students polished their dance moves, showing teamwork and enthusiasm. Upper primary students collaborated on group performances, demonstrating creativity, cooperation, and a growing passion for the performing arts.

Across every grade in ICT, students used different design tools not just to learn, but to invent, transforming their unique ideas into digital reality. It was a powerful display of how technology empowers creativity at every level, from simple taps to online collaboration.

Ms. Carol: Students delved into the reading strategy of predicting. They learned to actively engage with texts by using clues from the title, illustrations, and storyline to make informed forecasts about what would happen next. The classroom was buzzing with excitement as they practised writing their own continuations of the stories. This process honed their logical reasoning and allowed their creativity to flourish as they imagined and crafted diverse narrative outcomes.


Ms. Nicky: Grade 6 students are preparing for next week's IB exhibition. By creating ecosystem balance boxes, they have transformed the concept of "Creativity in Action" into reality. This is not just a model, but an act of creation. The students have become designers of miniature worlds, carefully layering soil and gravel, selecting vibrant plants, and introducing busy little inhabitants like snails or earthworms. Through this process, the students have not only learned about ecology but have also demonstrated the balanced relationships between water, sunlight, oxygen, and all living organisms.


Ms. Carol: 学生们深入探讨了预测的阅读策略。他们学会了利用标题、插图和故事情节中的线索,积极地参与到文本中来,对接下来会发生什么做出明智的预测。教室里充满了兴奋的气氛,学生们在练习写故事的续篇。这个过程磨练了他们的逻辑推理,让他们的创造力在想象和制作不同的叙事结果时蓬勃发展。


Ms. Nicky:六年级的学生们正积极为下周的IB展览做准备。他们通过亲手制作“生态平衡盒子”,真正将“实践中的创造力”这一理念落到了实处。这不仅仅是一个静态的模型,更是一场生动的创造实践。学生们化身成为微型世界的设计师,精心铺设土壤与砂石,细心挑选富有生机的绿色植物,并引入蜗牛、蚯蚓等忙碌的“小居民”,构建出一个微缩的生态系统。在这个过程中,同学们不仅加深了对生态学知识的理解,更直观地展示了水、阳光、氧气与所有生物之间紧密而平衡的依存关系。

Students explored feelings through storytelling, creating their very own "Story-Feelings" Wheel. Students also created variations of short stories, such as a comic to document “their” journey as a migrating animal. 

学生们通过讲故事探索情感,制作出了属于自己的“故事情感”轮盘。学生们还创作了短篇故事的不同版本,比如绘制了一部漫画来记录“他们”作为迁從动物的旅程。

Ms. Carol: The students had a productive week exploring numbers six to nine, becoming adept at splitting and combining them to identify all possible pairs that made up a whole—an essential skill for future problem-solving. They further developed their abilities by practising comparison and sequencing, sharpening their observation and logical reasoning, much like scientists did when classifying and organising information.


Ms. Leaf: During the week, students explored and consolidated the multiplication table through addition-based operations. These multiplication rhymes served as foundational tools for quantitative observation and pattern generalisation in scientific inquiry. They enabled students to translate concrete phenomena into mathematical relationships and grasp the scientific logic of repetition.


Ms. Carol: 学生们们深入探索了6至9的数的组成、比较大小以及序数概念。他们通过分解与组合数字,透彻理解了数的整体与部分关系,为加减法学习奠定了坚实基础。在比较数量和排序定位的练习中,他们的观察比较能力和逻辑顺序思维得到了有效提升,这正是科学探究中数据分析与处理能力的雏形。


Ms. Leaf: 学生们本周在连加运算的基础上探究并总结乘法口诀表,这些乘法口诀是科学探究中量化观察和规律总结的基础工具,能帮助学生把具体现象转化为数学关系,理解“重复出现”的科学逻辑。

Sparks of wisdom ignite in sports, and creativity comes alive in physical education. While swimming lessons may appear to focus on standardized movements, it is through repeated practice that students develop their own unique, comfortable, and efficient techniques. Across various sports, creativity is reflected in the limitless expansion of movement, coordination, and interpretation of rules. Improvisational and strategic creativity also emerge, as students skillfully adapt to their environment and interact with others during fast-paced competition.

智慧的火花在运动中迸发,创造力在体育教育中焕发活力。游泳课看似注重标准化动作,但学生正是通过反复练习,才发展出独特、舒适且高效的技巧。在各种运动项目中,创造力体现在动作的无限扩展、协调性和对规则的解读。随着学生在快节奏的比赛中熟练地适应环境并与他人互动,即兴发挥和策略性创造力也随之涌现。

This week's board games session showcased impressive linguistic dexterity and quick thinking. Moving beyond mere competition, games like Scrabble transformed into arenas for clever wordplay and strategic planning. It was a clear example of how structured rules can foster, rather than limit, imaginative thought. The pupils' ability to innovate within a framework demonstrated remarkable mental agility, turning a fun evening into a masterclass in creative problem-solving. Well done to all involved.
