Grade 2

This week in Grade 2, students learned about subject-verb agreement in Literacy. They practiced matching subjects and verbs correctly in sentences. In Math, students focused on telling and reading time.

As the Grade 3 children delve deeper into the four operations in Maths, they took the opportunity to revisit their Times Table Rock Stars heat maps. With the guidance of their homeroom teachers, the students selected specific multiplication tables to focus on and devised tailored strategies to boost their confidence.

As Grade 4 students have continued to learn about myths from around the world, they have been conducting research on a myth of their choice and preparing a digital presentation to share with the class.

This week, students explored the principles and techniques of designing digital posters. They learned about key elements such as layout, color theory, typography, and the use of imagery to effectively communicate a message.

This week, the students engaged in a fulfilling exploration of digital and artistic concepts. Through dedicated practice and iterative refinement of their work, they demonstrated sustained effort. Despite the presence of challenges, the students found the process highly enjoyable.

This week, students continued exploring this unit through digital tools. All grades virtually traveled the globe, using interactive apps and online resources to discover diverse musical traditions, instruments, and cultural histories, bringing world music to life in our classroom.

Students analysed how the author's keen attention to detail—noting the bird's colours, movements, and interactions—transformed an ordinary moment into an extraordinary discovery. This practice in mindful observation is a foundational skill that empowers them to be more attentive and curious learners across all subjects.

Book Club students roamed the library in search of book QR codes. Students scanned the various codes to listen to the audiobook. Once students listened to the four stories, they needed to answer a live comprehension on WayGround - an online quiz app.

Chinese Maths

Ms. Carol: Students embarked on an exciting journey of "Digital Discoveries" in mathematics. Students deepened their understanding of the number 10 and were introduced to numbers 11–20. They explored the concept of place value, learning that the digit in the tens place represents how many "tens," and the digit in the ones place represents how many "ones." Through engaging digital tools and hands-on activities, they strengthened their number sense and built a solid foundation for future mathematical learning.
