同理心与包容之晨:

走进特殊学校,看见另一种成长



This week, our Student Council members and Hall Monitors embarked on a truly special and meaningful journey—a visit to a local Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This long-awaited outing was a living lesson in empathycommunity and leadership.

本周,我校学生会成员与纪律委员踏上了一次独特而充满意义的探访——前往一所本地特殊教育学校进行交流。这场期盼已久的行程,是一堂关于同理心社群意识领导力的生动课程。

As student leaders representing their peers, our students had the incredible opportunity to step into another learning environment, one built on understanding and inclusivity. 

作为学生代表,他们得以走进一个以理解与包容为核心的不同学习环境。



The visit provided a powerful, real-world context for the values our Hall Monitors have been discussing in their sessions on justice and fairness.

此次访问也为纪律委员们在“公正与公平”主题会议中所探讨的价值观,提供了真实而有力的现实背景。



We are so proud of the maturity, respect and open hearts our students displayed. 

我们为同学们所展现的成熟、尊重与开放包容深感自豪。



They engaged with the experience wholeheartedly, learning that true leadership is about seeing the world from different perspectives and building a community where everyone belongs.

他们全身心投入这次体验,并从中领悟到:真正的领导力,在于学会从不同视角看待世界,并致力于构建一个人人有归属的社群



This visit was a beautiful reminder that some of the most important lessons happen outside the classroom walls. Well done to all our student leaders for representing our school with such grace and compassion!

这次访问也美好地提醒我们:一些最重要的课程,往往发生在课堂之外。为我们所有以风范与同情心代表学校的学生领袖们喝彩!

This was a really important chance for us to connect with children who have both physical and intellectual difficulties. 

这是一个非常重要的机会,让我们能够与身心面临挑战的孩子们建立连接。

When we arrived at the school, we learned how different areas were set up to help them learn to navigate in the real world. Like a shop to teach them the social skills required for shopping, a replica train to teach them train etiquette and every day social activities.

当我们抵达学校时,了解到学校如何根据不同功能区设置,帮助孩子们学习在现实世界中生活。比如设有模拟商店来教导购物所需的社会技能,还有仿制火车车厢来教授乘车礼仪和日常社交活动。

It was wonderful to see their whole community in action - their parents, teachers and social workers working together to help each of the children. 

看到整个支持体系在高效运转——家长、老师和社会工作者齐心协力帮助每个孩子,这场景令人动容。

We got to play games and sing songs together. We learned a lot from this meaningful visit. 

我们一起玩游戏、唱歌。这次意义深远的探访让我们收获良多。

We are grateful to have many different social activities available to us. We are thankful for the full life we lead.

Sometimes we get angry over small problems in our lives, but the children we visited yesterday are so joyful, and the problems we face are small compared to what they’re going through right now. So we should be grateful and thankful for our own lives. 

有时我们总为生活中的小事烦恼,但昨天拜访的孩子们却如此快乐开朗。与他们正在经历的困境相比,我们面临的问题实在微不足道。因此,我们更应该珍惜和感恩自己所拥有的人生。
